In 2024, we launched our Cultivating Curious and Connected Learners project. Through this project and our Play, Wonder and Learn Conference for P-2 educators, we will be providing PD around sustainability as a cross-curriculum priority and practical ideas for Early Years educators.

Our Marlins are less savage than the shoal of entrepreneurs on Shark Tank but their quest for amazing ideas remains the same. Round 1 was a huge success with a range of successful projects including the construction of a life
Meridan State College has launched our Marlin Tank - our ideas + innovation incubator for our College community. Our Marlins are less savage than the shoal of entrepreneurs on Shark Tank but their quest for amazing ideas remains the same. Round 1 was a huge success with a range of successful projects including the construction of a life-size catapult, habitat gardens, worm towers and a life-size catapult.

Leverage the possibilities of AI for Learning with our new SCAIIL Network
Our SFET Education Centre has launched the SCAIIL Network. Educators from across the Sunshine Coast and beyond have attended PD and networking sessions as part of this new network.
Sessions have included sharing of current work around AI in Learning by school and USC based educators and an information session with ACARA on where AI fits within the Australian Curriculum.
